Steve Penn is the name aka 12Hunit. Hailing from a small city in Connecticut known as Waterbury,
Steve began honing his skills as a lyricist and Dj at the age of 12. Eventually, he gravitated toward making
beats, using the SP 1200 and the Emax rack mount sampler to kick off his musical Journey. Since then, Steve
has opened up for legendary hip hop artist such as; Krs-One, Showbiz & AJ, Wu-Tang Clan, Keith Murray, Jazo, and in 1995 he shot for the lead role for a Spike Lee movie called Clockers,
but fell short to a well established actor Mekhi Phifer. After numerous run ins with the law, and pending legal battles,
Steve was sent on a 18 month vacation to New Haven Correctional Facility, leaving behind little brother Billy
Penn aka Bil Blast Pro to blow the dust off the SP 1200, and began honing his own set of skills for production preparing for his older brother Steve's arrival. Since then, B Blast has produced for
multiple artists and participated in I standard’s beat battle where he won 1st place against Hip Hop producer
Apollo Brown. Combined, Bill and Steve’s Hip Hop influences stems from a long list of legendary Golden Era heat
There is evidence of this on Steve's highly anticipated album titled "40 Vol 1" produced by Bil Blast Pro himself. This artist is confirmation that pure Boom Bap is here to stay.

"Thank You Big Bro Chubb Rock for the opportunity, without your blessings I know that none of my contributions to your platforms would of been possible, and for that I am forever gratetful".
Through his creation, Steve strives to cause awareness in the Hip Hop community, and breaks the stereo types within the Hip Hop Genre. One of those stereo types the MC is determined to break is the idea that Hip Hop is a Young man's game, and once an unsigned inspiring Hip Hip artist hits a certain age, then his or her pursuit of this profession is over. This is far from the truth, and is the motivation behind Steve Penn's new album titled "40 VoL 1" produced by BilBlastPro. Like fine wine he gets better with time, never concerned about competition, he's one of a kind. While there's quite of few of Steve's releases on multiple digital platforms, "40 Vol 1" along with future releases will only be distributed from this platform.
